For employee records and other HR needs, what was CCB using before Bamboo HR?
We pretty much had everything in folders in a filing cabinet, a few spreadsheets, some binders, and of course everything in my head! It was challenging to not have everything in one place. I'd have to grab my keys, run back to the file room, find an individual file and look for the information that may not be there. Much of our HR information had not been updated.
What are some of the ways that Bamboo HR has been helpful?
Wow…organization! It has helped so much because I've been able to get everything organized in one easily accessible place. If I need pay history, a phone list, an address, an effective date, or anything else I can get the individuals information with a few clicks.
What was it like getting started on the system?
Initially it required some time and effort updating our records and getting them to you, but it was something that absolutely needed to be done anyway. After that, you did most of the work.
How have you liked using Bamboo HR?
It's been kind of fun actually. I'm not that tech-savvy, but it is really easy to use and it saves me a lot of time. After starting to use it, I'm just using it more and more. Another thing I really like is that when I report a problem the response was almost immediate. I was testing you guys to see if you would be as fast as you said, and you were.
Anything else you'd tell other HR departments about Bamboo HR?
Yes, it's a breeze and has made my job faster and easier.
