What is the role of human resources at OrangeSoda?

We're responsible for the human capital of the company. We love taking great care of our people so they can take care of our customers. For HR, our employees are our customers. The best use of our time is making sure that all employees are properly trained and know the metrics of their job and what we expect of their performance. We spend much of our time training employees, making sure managers take good care of their teams, and also keeping the executive team up-to-date on our stewardship and employee stats.

The Problem

We had spreadsheets, probably ten of them, which was getting burdensome. It took us a long time to get the information we needed and in the right format. Also, the data entry took a significant amount of time that was basically just wasted. We love that we don't have to use the spreadsheets anymore.

The Solution

BambooHR has consolidated all the work we need to get done. It's so nice to have all the information in a central location, and with the reports we can extract the information so easily - instead of using multiple spreadsheets to track employee records. Everything is much more organized.

The reports are a huge plus. For example, when the execs have a question on a department or employee, we can get that information immediately with all the specifics - it's so simple and fast! They love having a real-time snapshot of the entire company anytime it's needed.

How much time are you saving over your previous processes and tools?

BambooHR easily saves the two of us over 10 hours a week. It's been such a relief of our data entry workload and employee record maintenance. We were skeptical at first because we thought it would be so expensive, but it is cheap! Not the product of course, but the cost was so reasonable that it was a no-brainer. Using it free for a month was a bonus as well.

How did BambooHR change the way you work?

BambooHR has simplified our processes, and it's been almost instantaneous. You've been so receptive to our ideas and our needs. We carry a huge load, as far as the human capital of the company is involved. We feel like the human capital is such a big part of our business and we want to take care of our employees like you've taken care of us. It's just...simplified...everything.
