Integration
How it works.
With the Oyster and BambooHR integration, distributed and remote companies can take the hard work out of global, cross-border employment. Make your HRIS and Global Employment platform work with each other as you onboard, manage time off, and amend contracts. Eliminate errors and perform actions quickly from one place.
- Create a new employee profile in BambooHR; then Oyster pulls the relevant fields into the hiring form.
- Update data only in BambooHR with records syncing automatically in Oyster.
- Manage time off from a single place; Oyster pulls requests and statuses from BambooHR.
- Make amendments to employment contracts in just two clicks by automatically syncing changes in salary and job title from BambooHR to Oyster.
- Make changes to a team member’s Termination records in BambooHR and automatically create a "Draft" Offboarding request on the Oyster platform.
Steps to Install
1. On the Oyster Platform, click "Company" > "Integrations".
2. Select the "Available integrations" tab.
3. Scroll down to the HRIS section and click to "Connect" the BambooHR integration.
4. A page that explains the integration and what you can do with it appears. After reading through it, click "Connect".
5. This brings you to a screen that explains the various fields that can be synced via this integration. To accept, click "Continue".
6. Select "Through BambooHR's website" (Recommended).
7. Click "Next".
8. Enter your subdomain in the text field and click "Submit".
9. Type your BambooHR admin credentials into the Email and Password fields and click "Log In".
10. BambooHR is now integrated with Oyster and appears on the "My integrations" tab.
What data syncs?
"Must already exist in Oyster’s defined list and gets pulled into Oyster’s hiring form.
If the contract sync add-on is activated, when this field is updated in BambooHR it will be pulled into Oyster’s contract change flow."
