About Your Role

As a Building Inspector on our team, you will ensure every commercial and residential building project in our municipality provides a safe environment for everyone who enters. Successful candidates will have a deep knowledge of local building codes and regulations and a passion for public safety.

Your key responsibilities will include reviewing construction plans to ensure structures adhere to fire codes, structural safety standards, accessibility requirements, and more. You will manage complex documentation responsibilities, including documenting violations and updating records as solutions are implemented.

What You'll Need to Get the Job Done

  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, construction management, or a closely related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in building inspection or construction management, with a proven track record of adherence to safety and quality standards
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and legal requirements
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills to communicate effectively with all project stakeholders
