About Your Role
As a Construction Engineer, you’ll be a vital part of our organization and deeply involved in our construction projects. Technical engineering tasks are just the beginning. You’re also responsible for ensuring that every project meets and exceeds our safety, efficiency, and sustainability standards. You'll be collaborating across departments and using your expertise to drive the success of every project from concept to completion.
The role’s overall goal: Creating structurally sound spaces and enriching the communities they serve. You’ll do this by fusing your creative engineering solutions with our values of environmental responsibility and community impact.
What You'll Do
- Perform comprehensive assessments on various bachelor projects, verifying adherence to all applicable codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to craft a cohesive and compliant construction strategy from the ground up
- Apply your engineering and construction expertise to oversee every aspect of project execution, guaranteeing our work maintains the highest quality standards from start to finish
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues, using your problem-solving skills to address challenges efficiently and mitigate risks before they affect project timelines or quality
- Keep meticulous records of all engineering activities, inspections, and compliance checks, ensuring transparency and accessibility of crucial data for team members and stakeholders
- Act as a mentor to less experienced engineers and technical staff by guiding their professional development and fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement
What You'll Need to Get the Job Done
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management
- 5+ years of experience in construction engineering or a related field
- Proficiency with project management software and engineering tools
- Knowledge of current building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage diverse project teams
- Practical communication abilities for collaboration with stakeholders and problem-solving
