Will BambooHR provide me with its proof of insurance and insurance limits? Will BambooHR name my company as an additional insured on its insurance policy?
If you need confirmation that BambooHR maintains insurance, we can confirm that BambooHR does—please see our certificate and cover letter regarding our insurance found in Safebase; BambooHR works with an independent insurance broker each year to assess the needs of its business and to obtain insurance appropriate to its business and services. BambooHR insurance only covers BambooHR, and BambooHR does not name customers as additional insureds on its policies.
Does BambooHR have a modern slavery statement?
BambooHR is opposed to slavery in all forms. As we establish in our Terms of Service, BambooHR is committed to abiding by applicable law, including United States law where slavery is deemed to be illegal. Additionally, BambooHR does comply with the various employment and labor laws to which it is subject in the US, including laws governing anti-discrimination, child labor laws, wage and overtime, working conditions, etc. BambooHR does not have a formal modern slavery statement as it is organized and headquartered in the US, and legal requirements in this regard stem from other legal jurisdictions and are applicable to companies incorporated in those jurisdictions (UK, Australia, etc.). The services provided by BambooHR represent minimal supply-chain risk, as its software is provided in the cloud by reputable cloud service providers (AWS) and all software development is done in-house by BambooHR employees.
Will BambooHR sign an NDA with me for information we want to discuss during the sales process?
Generally, BambooHR does not believe it needs any information from its clients that would typically be seen to be confidential as a part of the sales process; we simply need to understand what features you’re looking for from our services and how many employees you plan to store in the system to give you a price quote. If it would make you more comfortable to have an NDA in place for our discussions, then we would be willing to sign our standard NDA we have created for this purpose. As this is a discussion for using our services, we will only use our standard form, and we do not accept redlines or revisions to it. Please also note that the NDA terminates when you become a customer and carves out the data you would store in our services as a part of being a customer; this NDA is not intended to cover your employee data stored in our services as the only contract that is meant to cover that transfer of data is our Terms of Service and/or DPA as applicable. Our NDA simply covers the conversations we have about your company in general while you evaluate our services.
