Governing Law; Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service FAQs are for informational purposes only—they are not contractual or binding in nature. These FAQs should not be seen as a substitute for reading and understanding BambooHR’s Terms of Service. Please see section 17.9 of the Terms of Service for additional information.
Can the governing law and/or jurisdiction be my local jurisdiction or a neutral jurisdiction? (12)
No. BambooHR is headquartered in Utah, and given that this is for our services, we only accept Utah as the governing law and jurisdiction for our agreements. It is not uncommon for the party providing services to set the jurisdiction for its agreements. With tens of thousands of customers across the globe, BambooHR could not go to every jurisdiction where its customers may be located if it needed to enforce its agreement. Having Utah as the governing law and jurisdiction allows us to keep costs down for our services and focus our time and energy on making a great product for you to use.
