What does BambooHR do with my data? What is “Performance Data”? (6.1)
BambooHR only uses your data to provide and improve services to you. You own all of your data. BambooHR does maintain ownership of what we refer to as “Performance Data.” This is data related to your use of the service and findings, correlations, and insights derived from anonymized, de-identified and aggregated data from our customers' use of the service. BambooHR may use this Performance Data to improve and market its services, for industry benchmarking, for best practices guidance, for AI innovations, for recommendations, or for other similar reports for distribution to and consumption by you and other BambooHR customers and prospects, etc.
What is considered “Feedback”? (6.3)
Feedback would include things like NPS scores, comments to sales or support, reviews left on the BambooHR website or in the product, or any ideas you may provide to help us improve the service. Feedback does not include your data, and you are never under any obligation to provide feedback. The Terms of Service grants BambooHR ownership of that Feedback so that BambooHR can use it to improve its service offerings, etc.
What constitutes a “Deliverable,” and what can BambooHR do with Deliverables? (6.4)
A Deliverable might be anything custom that BambooHR may create to assist you in the use of our services. For example, this may include a custom table or field. BambooHR grants you a license to use that custom Deliverable but maintains ownership of that Deliverable. This allows BambooHR to reuse the Deliverable for other customers throughout our services; however, your data will not be included in such reuse of a Deliverable.
How does BambooHR handle personal information? (6.6)
BambooHR handles personal information in line with its Terms of Service, Privacy Notice, and all applicable privacy laws. We use personal data only to provide, support, and improve our services, and according to our customers’ instructions. We protect this information with appropriate security measures and limit access to trained employees who need it to do their jobs. We may also use de-identified or aggregated data—information that cannot reasonably be linked to a specific person—to analyze trends and improve our products, in compliance with applicable laws..
What is User Content, and what can BambooHR do with it? (8.1 & 8.2)
User Content includes any comments or reviews you (or any other user of the service) might share with us on our website or other instances where BambooHR interacts with customers or in which customers interact with each other. You are under no obligation to provide BambooHR with User Content. User Content does not include your Data, and you should never include your Data with User Content. BambooHR may use this User Content for its own product, marketing, or other business purposes. See video at bottom of page for more info.
