Automated New Hire Windows
Whether your company is frequently hiring to backfill high-turnover roles, is growing quickly in size, or is occasionally adding new employees, we want to make it easy for you to not just hire new employees, but to get them enrolled in your benefit plans quickly and smoothly.
You can now set up rules for automated New Hire Windows in your Plan Settings. We’ve introduced a new setting into Plan Years called New Hires. Here's how the new automatically generated windows work:
- The trigger that initiates the creation of a new window is the addition of a hire date where no hire date existed before.
- Every new hire will get their own new hire enrollment window. If they will become eligible for some benefits in the current plan year and will become eligible for more benefits during an upcoming plan year, then the employee may get multiple enrollment windows assigned to them.
- The name of the enrollment window will include the employee's name, the window type, their hire date, and the plan year.
