Ben Admin Onboarding Module

We are introducing the new Benefits Administration onboarding module in BambooHR to simplify the benefits setup process for administrators. This clear, step-by-step guide empowers admins to confidently complete their benefits setup, reducing errors and support needs.


Once you purchase Benefits Administration, the Benefits Administration onboarding module will be added to your onboarding experience in BambooHR.

The module is labeled as “Benefits” and has three key steps:

  1. The Basics: Configure access level settings to establish who will manage benefits inside and outside of your company. This step is also where you will need to verify your employees’ data to ensure they have all the required information completed within BambooHR.
  2. Current Plan Year: This step focuses on creating a current plan year by adding benefit plans that are in effect. Before proceeding, you will need to answer some questions to learn how you should proceed with setting up your current plan year. We will then show the recommended workflow (i.e., adding carriers, benefit plans, etc.) based on your answers.
  3. Future Plan Year: This optional step will help you get ready for an upcoming plan year and prepare for open enrollment. It includes adding carriers, benefit plans, open enrollment, and new hire enrollment rules.
