Candidate Self-Scheduling
Interview scheduling can be one of the most time-consuming parts of the hiring process—especially when you’re trying to coordinate across multiple calendars. Every moment counts when securing top talent, so we’ve built a better way: Candidate Self-Scheduling.
Now, you can give candidates the power to select their own interview times based on your team’s availability, reducing back-and-forth emails and speeding up the entire hiring process.
With Candidate Self-Scheduling, hiring managers and recruiters can:
- Connect calendars and video tools: Sync BambooHR with Google or Microsoft calendars, and integrate with Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams for seamless scheduling.
- Use interview templates: Create templates with preset schedules, durations, and locations to streamline invitations.
- Send self-scheduling links: From a candidate’s profile, generate and send a personalized scheduling link.
- Track and manage interviews: See real-time updates on who has scheduled, who’s confirmed, and make edits or cancellations when needed.
For candidates, the process is simple:
- They receive a scheduling email with a secure link.
- They choose a time that works best from your team’s available slots.
- They get an instant confirmation and a calendar invite—no extra steps required.
If candidates need to reschedule, they can use the same link (within the parameters you’ve set). The result? Less friction, more focus on building a great first impression.
To start using Candidate Self-Scheduling:
- Go to Settings > Hiring > Calendar & Video Access and connect your calendar and conferencing tools.
- Create an Interview Template for your most common interview types.
- From a candidate’s profile, click Send a Self-Scheduling Link.
It’s that easy. From there, BambooHR takes care of the rest—so you can spend less time scheduling and more time finding the right people.
