Convert Existing Employees to EOR

We’ve made it easier to hire and manage employees through our Employer of Record (EOR) service. You can now convert an existing BambooHR employee directly to an EOR employee using Remote, without creating a new employee record. This update streamlines transitions for contractors becoming full-time employees or for teams moving from a different EOR provider.

Details:

Admins can now convert an existing employee to an EOR employee directly from their profile. From the employee’s profile, click the three-dot menu and choose Hire Through Remote. If the employee meets the eligibility criteria (active status, not terminated, and not already an EOR employee), the option will appear automatically. Simply verify your employee’s details and start their contract.

After the conversion process begins, the employee’s profile will display their EOR contract status in the Vitals section, and BambooHR will sync information from Remote. Updates to the employee’s job information, employment status, and compensation will appear as new rows in the corresponding tables on their employee profile, effective on their EOR start date. Their existing BambooHR hire date remains unchanged.
