As companies grow, it becomes increasingly important for them to identify their employees through a unique identifier for a variety of reasons:
Employees may have the same name, or very similar names, making it difficult to distinguish between them in reporting.
When sending data to other HR systems, companies will often use the employee # as an identifier in other systems.
Lastly, having a unique identifier makes it easier to combine data from multiple reports into a single report.
In the interest of streamlining and automating, we are adding the unique employee # to all Excel exports of all standard reports. We know that this small change will have a large cumulative impact, since HR will no longer need to manually add a unique identifier to meet their needs.
