Employee-Initiated QLEs

Employees may have experienced a qualifying life event between open enrollment periods, affecting their benefits. With this update, employees can initiate changes to their benefit elections due to a qualifying life event. This saves admins time opening QLE enrollment windows and empowers employees to manage their benefits more independently.

To begin updating benefits, the employee will submit a benefit change request from their Benefits tab, and admins will automatically receive an email and inbox notification. An admin can then easily open a QLE enrollment window directly from their BambooHR inbox.

Once the QLE enrollment window opens, the employee can start electing benefits and submit them for admin approval.
