Extend Recognition into Slack

Bring recognition into another part of the employee workday with the new Recognition & Rewards Slack integration. Employees can recognize coworkers and engage with recognition from Slack while staying connected to the Recognition experience in BambooHR. The Recognition & Rewards Slack integration is currently available as a Beta feature.

What's new

Admins can now connect Recognition & Rewards with the BambooHR Slack app from Recognition Settings. Under Slack Integration Options, admins can enable AI-generated Recognition Suggestions in Slack, share Recognition posts in a public Slack channel, or use both options.

With Allow AI-Generated Recognition Suggestions via Slack enabled, employees in the Recognition program can receive select AI-generated suggestions with a recommended message, point value, and Core Value. From Slack, employees can dismiss the suggestion, edit in BambooHR to personalize it, or send the recognition as suggested.

Admins can also enable Show Recognition posts in Slack and select one public Slack channel. Non-private Recognition posts automatically appear in the selected channel with details such as the recipient, message, awarded points, and tagged Core Values. Eligible employees can react to or reply to Recognition posts directly in Slack. Reactions and threaded replies from eligible Slack users sync to the original Recognition post in BambooHR as reactions and comments, bringing participation from Slack back into the Recognition feed. Comments and reactions made in BambooHR do not sync to Slack.

For companies with Rewards enabled, BambooHR also sends a reminder to the connected Slack channel three business days before the end of the month to encourage employees to use their available recognition points.
