HR Benchmarks: Location Filtering

You can now filter HR benchmarking data by geographic location to get insights that reflect your specific market. Instead of comparing your company to national averages, you can benchmark your data against companies in your country, state, or region. This gives you more details on localized trends in compensation, retention, and other key HR data.

Location filtering is a new option in standard reports with the benchmarking feature, available starting with U.S. data. You can filter by country, region, or state, and both your company’s data and the comparison group automatically adjust to reflect the selected area. For example, if you choose California, your results will show how your company compares to other companies with employees in California.

BambooHR determines employee location in one of two ways:

• If an employee has an assigned job location listed in Settings > Employee Fields, that location is used.
• If an employee’s job location is set to “Remote,” BambooHR uses their home address instead.

United States

• Regions

North Central, Northeast, South Central, Southeast, West Coast

• States

All 50 States, American Samoa, District of Columbia, Guam, Marshall Islands, Northern Marianas, Puerto Rico, US Minor Outlying Islands
