I-9 & E-Verify Automation Powered by Mitratech

Verifying work eligibility is one of the most time-consuming parts of onboarding, and manual steps increase the risk of errors and costly fines. BambooHR I-9 & E-Verify Automation, powered by Mitratech, brings compliance directly into BambooHR®. It automates deadlines and submissions, enforces accuracy with built-in checks, and keeps encrypted records audit-ready.

You can complete and track I-9s directly in BambooHR and, if your organization chooses to enable the E-Verify service, seamlessly manage E-Verify submissions in the same place.

With I-9 & E-Verify Automation, HR admins and I-9 Managers can:

• Automate I-9 & E-Verify steps: Send Section 1, complete Section 2, and once enrolled, auto-create E-Verify cases when Section 2 is finished.
• Control access with confidence: Assign or remove I-9 Manager access (with or without E-Verify) right from the employee profile.
• Track progress in real time: Use “Manage Verification” to open the Mitratech Tracker I-9 dashboard for progress, tasks, and case counts.
• Stay audit-ready: Keep documents and signed forms organized with built-in checks that catch issues early.

For employees, the process is simple:

• They receive a secure email to complete Section 1 with clear prompts.
• E-signature and document upload in one flow; files saved to the record
• They get confirmation and next steps (in person or approved remote).
• I-9 Manager is notified to complete Section 2

To start using I-9 & E-Verify Automation:

• Install the Mitratech app: Go to Settings > Apps, select Mitratech, and install. Account Owners can install directly; Admins can request approval and will receive an email once approved.
• Enable E-Verify (Optional): Complete the short enrollment questionnaire; you’ll receive partner-site credentials from Tracker I-9 and a BambooHR email titled “E-Verify Setup” with next steps.
• Assign I-9 Managers in BambooHR as needed.
• Start verifying employees directly within BambooHR.
