Improved Name Field Flexibility for Remote Employees

Names aren’t one-size-fits-all. With more flexibility in employee name fields, it’s now easier to accurately reflect how your global employees’ names are structured, reducing friction and helping records stay true to each individual. With added control and fewer sync conflicts with Remote, you can manage employee data more confidently across systems.

On a Remote employee’s profile page, First, Middle, and Last Name fields are now editable instead of locked. To support this flexibility, name fields are no longer synced with Remote. The Preferred Name field will no longer sync, and updates made in one system will not automatically carry over to the other. This helps avoid mismatches when name formats don’t align cleanly between systems. If a name is updated in Remote, make sure to reflect that change in BambooHR as well to keep records consistent across systems.
