Inform Users When Voluntary Life Requires EOI
Voluntary life insurance elections now provide clearer visibility into when Evidence of Insurability (EOI) is required. Employees can easily see how much coverage is guaranteed and when additional requested coverage requires review. This gives employees better visibility into their coverage and helps admins confidently review and approve elections.
Admins can now set guaranteed amounts directly in voluntary life plan settings. These amounts appear in a new Guaranteed Issue Amounts step during plan setup, making it clear how much coverage employees can receive without completing EOI.
During enrollment, employees select their desired coverage amounts and can see how much is guaranteed versus how much requires EOI. As they adjust their coverage, they see estimated costs for the approved portion and how costs may change if additional coverage is approved. Before submitting their elections, employees review this information again on the enrollment summary and confirm their choice.
On the admin approval page, elections that include coverage pending EOI show an EOI Pending status. Coverage details are broken down into requested, guaranteed, approved, and pending amounts so admins can confidently approve elections when EOI is in progress. Once the carrier completes EOI, admins can quickly update approved amounts and mark EOI as complete, keeping records accurate and up to date.
