Integrate Xero Payroll (UK and Australia) with BambooHR

We’re excited to introduce the Xero UK Payroll and Xero Australia Payroll integrations for new BambooHR customers with employees in those respective countries. This new integration allows you to automatically sync employee demographic and compensation data from BambooHR to Xero Payroll, helping you save time, reduce manual work, and keep your records consistent between systems.

Getting started is simple. You can install the integration directly in BambooHR by navigating to Settings > Apps and selecting either Xero (Payroll), UK or Xero (Payroll), AU. Once installed, new standard fields are automatically added to your account to support payroll requirements, such as the National Insurance Number and Title fields for the UK, and the Standard Hours per Week field for both regions.
During implementation, you can connect your Xero Payroll (UK or AU) account through the Data Sync module within the Employee Data onboarding process. Once connected, employee data in BambooHR automatically updates in Xero whenever changes are made, keeping both systems aligned without manual intervention.
Adding new employees is just as easy. When creating a new employee profile in BambooHR, you can select the appropriate payroll provider (Xero UK or AU) from the dropdown menu. Once saved, a matching profile is automatically created in Xero, eliminating the need for duplicate data entry.
To help you stay informed, Full Admin users receive email notifications if a sync fails or data becomes inconsistent. These alerts include details and clear instructions to correct any issues, ensuring smooth operation across both systems.
Currently, the Xero Payroll integration is available only to new BambooHR customers with employees in the UK or Australia.
