New EIN Field for 1099 Workers

We’ve added a new Employer Identification Number (EIN) field to help you manage records for independent contractors and consultants more accurately. This update gives you the flexibility to record EINs separately from Social Security Numbers (SSNs), helping reduce errors and improve data consistency.

The EIN field is now available as a standard field option that admins can add to employee profiles. Once added, you can decide who can view or edit the field through access level settings.

Both the SSN and EIN fields can exist on the same employee profile, so you can store whichever identifier applies.

This change means you no longer need to use workarounds to track EINs in the SSN field. It’s a simple, cleaner way to manage contractor information.
