Performance 1:1s

1:1s enhance employee performance and engagement by facilitating regular, structured communication between managers and their direct reports. Regular 1:1 meetings help ensure managers and employees are aligned on expectations, progress, and any obstacles hindering performance. This alignment is crucial for employee development and can increase productivity and job satisfaction.

1:1s in BambooHR allow managers to schedule and manage regular meetings with their direct reports in a structured way. Managers can set agendas, track discussion points, and record past meetings.

To set up Performance 1:1s, go to Settings > Performance > 1:1s, toggle on Use 1:1s in Performance, and click Save. Then, head to your direct reports’ profile and select 1:1s under the Performance tab to create your 1:1s schedule and set agenda items.

Once a manager creates a 1:1 with their direct report, the employee and the manager can access the 1:1 tab to add, edit, and reorder agenda items for upcoming meetings. Each person has their own notes section where notes auto-save and can be viewed while the other is typing. Both individuals can also create private notes that they can view only independently.
