PFML Sliding Scale Updates

We're excited to announce that you now have the option to adjust and manage the employer-paid portion of taxes for Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML) in BambooHR for the following states:

These states now offer employers the option to cover their employees' portion of PFML taxes on a sliding scale. By default, the scale is set to 0% coverage, but you have the flexibility to increase it up to 100% coverage.

You can easily manage employer contributions by selecting the PFML tax type for the above four states under the “Taxes” tab within “Payroll” on the Settings page.

Here, you’ll be able to see the Tax Account Details, including tax type, frequency, employee tax rate, and the Employer Contribution to your employees' portion. You can change this for current (increases to contributions only) or future quarters.
