Recognition & Rewards empowers employees to celebrate contributions, reinforce company values, and turn appreciation into meaningful rewards—all within BambooHR. With a dedicated recognition feed, points-based rewards, and built-in engagement tools, teams can create a more connected and appreciative workplace with less administrative effort.
What's new
Recognition & Rewards introduces a streamlined experience for celebrating colleagues and acknowledging great work across the organization. Employees can send recognition posts, include company core values, add GIFs, emojis, and images, and optionally award points that recipients can later redeem for rewards.
Organizations can choose whether to use recognition on its own or pair it with rewards. When rewards are enabled, employees can redeem earned points from a catalog of thousands of gift cards and charitable donation options through the rewards experience in BambooHR.
The update also includes a dedicated Recognition Feed where employees can view, react to, comment on, and filter recognition posts. Recognition recommendations and thought starters help encourage timely appreciation, while automated notifications keep recognition top of mind throughout the month.
Administrators gain new controls for configuring recognition programs, managing participation, allocating points, and reporting on recognition activity and reward redemptions. Custom reporting fields are also available to help teams analyze recognition and rewards data alongside other employee information.
What you'll see
Employees will find a new Recognition area in BambooHR, featuring a dedicated feed and the ability to send shout-outs to coworkers directly from the platform. Recognition posts can include messages, company values, reactions, comments, images, GIFs, and optional points. Private recognition is also available when enabled by administrators.
When rewards are enabled, employees can track available points, redeem earned points, browse reward options, and view redemption history. A Recognition widget can also be added to the BambooHR home page for quick access to recognition activity and points balances.
Managers and administrators will see new configuration options, reporting capabilities, and visibility into recognition and reward activity through dedicated reports and custom reporting fields.
