Shift Differentials

Shift Differentials allows you to set up, track, and pay your hourly employees different rates based on the time of day or day of the week they work.

Key Features:

Customizable Shift Schedules: Establish set times and days for shift differentials, such as evenings on weekdays, overnight shifts, or weekends.

Flexible Rates: Set differential rates as either a dollar amount or a percentage increase above the base pay rate.

Automatic Calculation: Shift differential hours are automatically calculated using BambooHR Time Tracking. They can also be manually added through the Hours Importer, Hours API, or by direct edit in while running payroll.

Data Syncs: For payroll customers, all shift differentials will sync automatically into Payroll, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

How It Works:

• Setup: Access Shift Differentials in Time Tracking Settings
• Add Shift Differential: Name the shift, schedule, rate, and assign employees.
• Edit and Manage: Easily edit or archive shift differentials as needed.
• Track and Pay: View shift differential details in Settings and on Timesheets. All data syncs seamlessly into payroll.
