We’re excited to announce some new updates to Performance Management. You now have the ability to skip an assessment for an employee who’s in assessment cycle, and you can now schedule an impromptu assessment for an employee who’s not in an active assessment cycle. These new updates to assessments provide you with added flexibility to customize the assessment process to your organization’s needs.

Let’s take a look at what this means for you and your team.

Update #1: Managers can now skip an assessment for an employee by going to the Assessment tab and clicking “Skip This Assessment”. We understand that when employees and managers change roles or teams are restructured that they don’t always have enough information to give a thoughtful assessment. Now with skip assessments you’ll be able to control it.

When you skip an assessment the employee will receive an email telling them that they no longer need to complete the assessment. Remember that there’s no way to undo skipping an assessment.

Update #2: You will now be able to schedule an impromptu assessment

with an employee. So, whether you need to assess an employee for a promotion or raise, for disciplinary reasons, on their anniversary, or as part of their onboarding process you can do it! Note that you’ll only be able to do an impromptu assessment for an employee who is not in an active assessment cycle.
