Updates to CO, GA, and OR State Withholding Fields
We just released three new updates to State Withholdings in BambooHR to ensure compliance and alignment with current state tax requirements. These changes will only affect customers with employees in Colorado, Georgia, and Oregon. Here is a summary of the changes you can expect on an employee’s Pay Info tab if they reside in any of those three locations.
COLORADO
We have removed two fields that are no longer applicable for Colorado employees.
- The ‘Use 2020 W-4’ checkbox will be removed
- The ‘Exemptions’ field will be removed
GEORGIA
We will be adding a new field called ‘Additional Allowances’ where you can capture the right value derived from the updated Georgia G4 document. This field will appear below the ‘Dependent Allowances’ field that exists today and will default to a 0 value.
OREGON
We will be adding a new field called ‘Political Subdivision’ to help you indicate whether this tax rule applies to an employee. This field will appear below the ‘Additional Withholding’ fields that exist today and will be a checkbox field that will default to being unchecked.
If any information for your employees is different than the default value or action for these changes, make sure to navigate to their Pay Info tab and update their information.
