$0.00 Wage in the Pay Rate Field

How this release impacts BambooHR + TRAXPayroll customers

We have made a change to the Pay Rate field in BambooHR to allow our TRAXPayroll customers to assign a $0.00 wage to any of their exempt employees. This becomes especially important for companies that pay their employees only using a commission or circumstances where a regular wage is not required.

If you have employees that require $0.00 wage, you can now make that change in BambooHR and it will sync over into TRAXpayroll. However, a $0.00 wage cannot be assigned to a non-exempt employee. If you add or update the pay rate for an employee and assign that pay rate as $0.00, only Exempt will appear as an option in the Overtime Status field.

How this release impacts BambooHR not using TRAXPayroll

In the past, BambooHR users could assign a $0.00 wage to both exempt and non-exempt employees. Moving forward, a $0.00 wage can only be assigned to exempt employees. If you add or update the pay rate for an employee and assign that pay rate as $0.00, only Exempt will appear as an option in the Overtime Status field.
