Zero Point Allocation in Recognition & Rewards

You now have more flexibility when configuring Rewards. Set the monthly employee point allowance to 0 to support recognition programs where managers or HR control when points are awarded. More flexibility means your rewards program can better match the way your organization recognizes great work.

What's new

When configuring Rewards, admins can now enter 0 as the monthly employee point allowance. Previously, the minimum value was 1, requiring every employee to receive monthly points before Rewards could be enabled.

This update gives organizations more flexibility in how they manage recognition programs while keeping the existing Rewards setup process the same. There are no interface changes, only a lower minimum value for the monthly point allocation.

What you'll see

The Monthly Point Allowance field now accepts 0 as a valid value during Rewards setup. Everything else in the experience remains unchanged.

What you can do

Review your current Rewards configuration and decide whether automatic monthly point allocations fit your recognition strategy. If you prefer managers or HR to control when points are awarded, you can now set the monthly allowance to 0.
