Custom Tab Builder

Following the successful launch of our custom field builder in December 2023, we are excited to introduce our custom tab builder! Both self-service features now offer you more flexibility in customizing your BambooHR account on your own time and without the need to reach out to our support team.

The custom tab builder feature allows you to create and edit custom tabs on the employee profile, helping you manage employee information more effectively and independently. You will also be able to further customize employee profiles to better suit your organizational needs.

The custom tab builder is available through the Customize Tabs page on any employee profile. Once you build a custom tab, you can start adding custom fields to the tab from the following locations in BambooHR:

1. Through the Add and Edit Fields button on the custom tab of the employee profile
2. The Custom Fields section of Settings

The custom tab will only be visible to admins until you specify which employees can view the tab based on access level settings.

Note: While the custom field builder is available on all packages, the custom tab builder is specific to Core and Pro packages.
