Custom Table Builder
Following the successful launches of the custom field builder and the custom tab builder, we are excited to announce that our self-service custom table builder is now available as a new customization option in Core and Pro packages!
Previously, creating custom tables required direct collaboration with our Customer Support team. Now, with the self-service option for custom tables, you have more flexibility to customize your BambooHR account independently. You can add a custom table to employee profiles without contacting Support.
This customization option helps you organize employee data according to your specific organizational needs. Easily create new custom tables by building a standard or historical table, adding columns with headings and specifying the data type, and setting the default sort order for the table.
You can access the custom table builder in two different ways:
- Through a specific tab on the employee profile → Click Customize Layout and then Add Custom Table
- The Custom Fields & Tables section in Settings → Click +Add Custom Table
As you build the table, a dynamic preview of your new custom table will appear, allowing you to view changes in real time. Once your table is exactly how you want it, simply save it, and it will be ready for use! You can also determine who can have access to the custom table through access level settings.
While the custom field builder is available on all packages, the custom tab and table builders are specific to Core and Pro packages. Advantage customers can reach out to our Customer Support team for assistance with adding a custom tab or table.
