Setting people free to do great work is our mission. And when we say “people,” we don’t just mean HR professionals—we mean everyone, including students. That’s why we are delighted to offer three $5,000 scholarships to three passionate, creative university students who care about improving people’s lives as much as we do.
Does that sound like you? Check out the details below and send us an application.
To be eligible for one of the scholarships, you must be:
Please submit your application by July 19, 2019 at 11:59 PM.
An internal team at BambooHR will select the scholarship winners based on the creativity and thoughtfulness of their personal statements and their responses to the submission option of their choice. We are looking for recipients who have a clear passion for learning, growing, and helping others along the way. Winners will be notified via email by August 16, 2019.
The scholarship funds will be paid directly to each winner’s college or university to be used for tuition, books, or fees.
Please select one of the three submission options below and attach your response to the application form.
Imagine you’ve been tasked with coming up with a new employee benefit to help improve employee engagement around the office. Team morale is down and you’ve heard from several people in their exit interviews that they feel overworked, underappreciated, and burned out. These conditions do not align with your company values, and you want to change things before they become a regular part of your company culture.
In your response (500 words or less), please outline a benefit that would help employees disconnect from work so they can recharge and feel appreciated. Try to come up with a benefit that is new and creative (i.e. not paid time off or a new onboarding software) but also serves a deeper purpose beyond entertainment value (i.e. not ping-pong tables). Explain why you think this benefit would solve the problem.
Like we mentioned above, our mission at BambooHR is to set people free to do great work. We want you to show us a time when you helped set people free to do great work (500 words or less). Feel free to get creative with your answer. Did you create a workshop to help people with their resumes? A new process that saved time at your school or work? A program in your community to help those in need? Tell us about it!
We firmly believe that when our employees grow and develop, so does our business. So we enshrined this principle in one of our seven core company values: Grow From Good To Great. With this in mind, please tell us in a brief video (no more than 1 min, 30 sec) how you have been able to grow from good to great during your academic career. Please identify a specific skill set or talent and explain how you developed it.
