2023 was the year of the Hiring Hero. Candidates and recruiters alike faced major headwinds, including mass layoffs, financial anxieties, and the continuing evolution of the remote workforce. Hiring Heroes didn't let these challenges break their stride—instead, they loaded up on experience points by attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent. In 2023, 46% of HR leaders said recruiting was a top priority, and our platform data tells us that goal became a reality throughout the year.

As employee happiness reaches an all-time low, HR teams are even more crucial leaders in combating this satisfaction slump, with help from employee engagement tools like eNPS and Employee Wellbeing surveys.
BambooHR helped HR pros complete 370,767 Employee Wellbeing surveys this year—and employees were eager to participate, with responses increasing by 42%.
HR teams also helped employees access important benefits this year through more than 2.4 million completed open enrollments through BambooHR. Beyond the workplace, our HR pros reminded employees to prioritize work-life balance by processing more than 25 million PTO requests.
